Cover Look: Jennifer Lopez For Paper Magazine’s Las Vegas Special Edition
She’s one of the world’s best singer/dancer/actress triple threat combos, not to mention a beauty muse of mine for almost 20 years. Anytime a magazine plays up what a true super star she is I am on board.
For Paper’s special Las Vegas edition a variety of Sin City headliners each scored their own special collectible cover, but none of them came close to topping the stunning woman that is Jennifer Lopez. Her ‘All I Have” show has been a wild success on the strip and the ultra glamorous layout proves it. Decked out in her best showgirl gear, Jenny From the Block has never looked more spectacular. Dazzling in sparkly ornate costumes, paired with breathtaking hair and makeup, this just might be one of my favorite spreads of hers to date. The photos were shot by another favorite of mine, seasoned photographer Ellen von Unwerth, who is very well known for capturing erotic femininity. Jennifer shines brightly on the cover in a Rocky Gathercole crown and bustier looking like the queen of Las Vegas. Throughout the spread the Bronx beauty also models the likes of The Blonds, Catherine D’Lish, and Jenny Packham. While looking through these images I kept thinking about “The Great Ziegfeld”, which is about as high on the glamour scale as you can possibly get.
Below are a few of my favorite images from the shoot. Jennifer has always been a master at balancing her natural beauty and intense sex appeal, and these photos are a perfect example of that. To see the full spread and interview, as well as purchase your own copy head over to papermag.com
