Get The Look: Ashley Judd’s Berry Lips and Luminous Glow
For over two decades Moyra Mulholland has been painting one of Hollywood’s most beautiful faces, none other than former Kentucky girl Ashley Judd.
Not only is Ashley a Golden Globe nominated actress, political activist and massive UK basketball fan, she is also a beauty muse. For her most recent appearance at the Summer Television Critics Association Press Tour (promoting her latest project, the Epix original series “Berlin Station”) Moyra accentuated Ashley’s natural beauty with fresh glowing skin, full flirty lashes, and a beautiful berry lip -which perfectly complemented her lacy lavender dress by J.Mendel. Below Moyra shares tips on how she achieved the look and the products she used to get Ms.Judd press day ready.
“I really concentrated on getting the skin to look perfect. I first prepped by exfoliating using Instantpeel, followed by a dab of Dr. Hauschka’s firming mask and a spritz of Cura Intensiva Spray. Next, I applied Serge Lutens Spectral Cream Foundation #40. For under the eyes I mixed Make Up For Ever Invisible Cover Concealer with Serge Lutens makeup base, which helps give a great, spreadable texture. I then set the entire face very lightly with the Serge Lutens pressed powder. To add a pretty flush to the cheeks, I used a small amount of Kevyn Aucoin’s ‘Neolita’ blush on the mid part of the apple, and then buffed with Surratt’s ‘Guimauve‘. I like to keep Ashley’s eyes on the lighter side, I used a combo of ‘Berry Merry‘ and ‘St.Luca‘ shadows/blush by Elf, with a dab of Giorgio Armani Sheer Fluid Highlighter #7 all over the lid, and also on the high point of the cheek. To intensify the lash line I softly smudged Kevyn Aucoin’s black eyeliner pencil. I finished off the eyes with a set of false eyelashes, my favorites are the demi wispies. For a strong thick brow, but not too dark I love to mix the Benefit Precisely Brow Pencils in #1 and #3. On the lips is a yet unnamed color I created for Jane Iredale Cosmetics which will launch next fall.”
