Beauty Report: Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette
After weeks of endless teasing the new Huda Beauty eyeshadow palette has been revealed and boy, was it worth the wait.
The first teases of the palette showed that it would definitely would be different than her first palette (the Rose Gold, which I still love.) Purples were the first shades revealed, which sent the beauty community in a complete tailspin. The majority of makeup lovers are tired of the same old warm toned eyeshadows being released time and time again (I personally, will never tire of them) so to see purple was a big surprise. I initially was a little concerned. Having blue eyes myself, purples aren’t exactly my go to shades. Then the rest of the palette was revealed and it was game over. I didn’t think it was possible to top the selection in the highly popular Rose Gold palette, but Huda has outdone herself with this one. Yes there are a few purples in there, but what got me were the gorgeous textured shadows, rich browns, and creamy peach toned shades.
The inspiration for the palette’s color story is based on the sands and sunsets of the Middle East, which is perfectly executed. This product feels a bit more personal, a bit more Huda if you will. The palette includes 8 matte shades (Desert Sand, Musk, Eden, Amber, OUD, Amethyst, Saffron, and Blazing). There is of course lots of sparkle too with six pressed pearls, three duo-chrome toppers, and one pure glitter (Blood Moon, Celestial, Nefertitti, twilight, Royal, Retrograde, Cashmere, Angelic, Cosmo, and Turkish Delight.) The palette will launch on HudaBeauty.com and Sephora on September 18th and retails for $65.
Below you can see a few images of Huda wearing the palette (stunning!) As well as a close up look at all the shadows and the exotic new packaging.
The palette includes:
18 eyeshadows
4 ready to wear layered textures
