Who am I?

For over ten years I have worked as a freelance writer with a focus on beauty, fashion, and entertainment. In addition to working as a freelance makeup artist, groomer, and wardrobe stylist. I’ve had the privilege and opportunity to interview and/or work with a variety of artists and celebrities.  As well as respected Hollywood hair and makeup artists. I have also put my knack for social media to good use, by managing company accounts for Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and Facebook. In 2016 I had the pleasure of working on my first book cover, with Kentucky’s head basketball coach John Calipari and accomplished photographer Mark Turner. I am also a monthly contributing writer to local favorites such as Tops In Lexington and Lipstik (Herald Leader).  After getting so many questions about style and beauty I decided it was finally time to create my own website where I can share my love of all things glamorous with others. I didn’t want to make a site filled with makeup selfies or daily photos of me in various outfits. That has already been done-and done well I might add. My focus is all about restoring glamour in the world, and embracing the things that make me happy. I love sharing new beauty products, reviews, fashion and shopping tips, and celebrity looks.  Getting GorJess is simply a place to share my favorite things, and hopefully give inspiration and ideas to others with similar interests.
