Beauty Report: Colourpop No Filter Complexion Foundation Collection
Foundations aren’t usually something I feature unless I have tried them out firsthand, but when when a new one drops with a 42 shade range and is only $12 bucks, I can’t help but be intrigued.
Because of their online exclusivity I haven’t had the chance to try many Colourpop products, but now with their branching out to mega beauty stores like Sephora and Ulta I plan on diving right in. If you are a Youtube ‘beauty guru’ watcher like I am then you have most likely already seen demos of this foundation all over several channels. While I enjoy seeing wear tests on others, every person’s skin reacts to products differently, so I can’t give a final verdict on how I feel until I give it a whirl. But I can fill you in on what this formula promises.
This is the first foundation for the vegan and cruelty-free cult favorite brand. After finding success with their affordable concealers, it only made sense to follow with a beautiful foundation. The formula is labeled as ‘medium to full coverage’ with a natural matte finish. I am usually not a big fan of medium-full because I know I am going to have to spend time building it up, but from what I’ve seen of this foundation, it doesn’t look to have too much work involved to get your skin looking great. The 42 shade range (see below for an extensive chart) is what is maybe the most impressive here. There are brands that have been around for 10 years + that still cannot grasp the importance of shade variety. It can be especially hard for very fair or very deep complexions to find working options, but with a range like this and only $12 you can afford to purchase more than one and mix them if you still can’t find that one perfect color. The brand is also launching three new setting powders, five new mattifying powders, and two new foundation brushes.
