Beauty Report: Kylie Cosmeitics 2018 Kristmas Collection
She’s gone and done it again. Say what you will about Kylie Cosmetics, but the girl knows how to kill packaging like no other. For the brand’s 3rd Christmas offering, Kylie is giving us serious “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” vibes, and I gotta say…I am here for it.
After giving us a sneak preview of the products on her Instagram stories, trusty Trendmood screen-captured the new items in all their glory. But, before we dig into the products let’s talk about this beautiful icy packaging. Kylie has become a brand known for firing out new releases quicker than we can pay off our monthly credit cycles, so to constantly come up with fun, creative packaging ideas is a true accomplishment in itself. This year the brand is having a blue Kristmas (see what she did there?) with a chilling, yet ultra glamorous sapphire hued theme. I especially love the snowflakes embossed on the boxes outer packaging. The ad campaign shows the beauty mogul looking every inch the snow bunny from her frosty blonde locks, to her fluffy fur trimmed jacket.
As for the new products that can be expected to launch in the next few days, there is a Baby It’s Cold Outside- 8 Piece Mini Lip Collection (featuring all new shades), 4 Metallic Lipsticks, the Chill Baby 14 pan eyeshadow palette, Kissmas Matte Lip Kit, 3 Pressed Powders (highlighter, blush, perfecting powder), 4 Piece Liquid Lip Set, 2 Super Glitter Gloss, 3 Creme Shadows, and 2 Ultra Glow Highlighters. Kylie’s live swatches are always very well lit and enticing, and this collection is no different. I was instantly enamored by the sparkle and glow, even though I told myself to resist the spending urge.
Prices have not yet been announced for the Kristmas collection, but if you are a regular buyer of the brand you pretty much know what to expect. The new products will launch on November 19th on the KylieCosmetics website.
My biggest gripe here is that Kylie & Co should have given purchasers the option of buying this at Ulta as well. Kylie is for the first time offering her brand at the beloved department store just in time for the holiday season, but it sadly looks like the only products being offered there are for the lips. This would have been a great opportunity to expand her brand, not to mention her ever-growing bank account. We can only hope she finds success in this Ulta trial run so that in the future we can buy the brand in person, as well as collect those rewards points.
