Beauty Report: Jeffree Star x Morphe Artistry Palette + New Collection
When Jeffree Star warned us that 2019 was going to be a nonstop rollercoaster he was not kidding. Not only is he continuing to grow his own line of popular beauty products and merchandise, he is also keeping the collab training a rollin’.
After his last collection with Morphe turned out to be wildly successful it only made sense to give the masses a beautiful round 2. This time around not only will we be getting a supersized eye brush set ( 10 total with a bag $42) there will also be a brand new strawberry scented setting spray ($18 with extra Jeffree Star approved ingredients), and a colorful 30-pan eyeshadow palette ($35). Back by popular demand is the beauty sponge trio in a pretty shade of petal pink ($16). I have seen a lot of people ask the question why would Jeffree collab if he has his own brand? But I say, why not? It not only gives the beauty mogul the ability to offer more affordable products to his fans, he is also for the very first time using his very own Morphe discount code. By simply using JStar at checkout for 10% off you will also be giving back. The code’s proceeds will be donated to some of Jeffree’s most beloved charities.
As for the products themselves the packaging is of course a Barbie dream come true. First of all, the eyeshadow palette is very much on brand for Jeffree. When an artist collaborates with a cosmetics company the entire point is to capture that person’s signature vibe. So naturally the palette houses lots of pinks and bold pops of color. The brushes are a little different this time around, rather than their icicle like handle from the prior collection, these serve up a simple pale pink matte. The item I am personally most excited for is the new ‘Starberry’ setting spray. I already enjoy Morphe’s original formula, but I love the idea of changing up the packaging to signature Jeffree pink along with adding more skincare ingredients and a yummy strawberry scent.
The collection goes on sale on the Morphe website on August 13th and will be hitting Ulta shortly after (date TBA).
