Beauty Report: Scott Barnes Lip Fetish and Flossy Glossy Lip Collection

If you know me you know I am a longtime fan of the amazing Jennifer Lopez. Following her journey for over 20 years also means being a fan of her team that helps make the magic happen. No one stands out more for me in that category than the talented makeup artist, Scott Barnes.

From her many films to tv appearances to photoshoots Scott has (mostly) been the mastermind behind all of her most iconic looks. Way back in my early-mid twenties Scott started his own makeup line and me, like so many girls were dying to look and feel like JLO. So of course I found a way to purchase a couple of his Flossy Gloss shades and they definitely didn’t disappoint. But, as time went on and Scott became busier the products kinda took a back seat. Well now the beauty master is starting to release an entire cosmetic and brush line. I already own (and LOVE) his eye and face palettes as well as several makeup brushes, and now we are on to the lips.

Just last week Scott released 13 Lip Fetish Matte shades as well as 13 Flossy Glossy colors (she back!) inspired by Jennifer herself. From a gorgeous soft peach reminiscent of the unforgettable gown she wore in “Maid In Manhattan” to the perfect pinky-nude which celebrates her recent engagement to former New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez. There is of course a stunning movie star red (‘Look At Me’) and a shimmery golden hued gloss (‘Champagne and Caviar’)-all things that scream Jenny From The Block. If you get lucky enough to work with a muse like Jennifer, this is a lovely way to pay tribute to them, all while giving her fans what we have been mesmerized with for years.

Scott has dolled Jennifer up for numerous films and red carpet appearances so he knows exactly what looks best whether you’re doing a Zoom meeting or simply taking a killer selfie. I myself  purchased one shade from each collection and I am already planning to add more. They are pigmented, non-sticky and comfortable on the lips. I admittedly don’t always love a liquid lip, but this formula hits totally different.  The scent of the products I absolutely love with each one offering a soft marshmallow aroma that will make you feel like you’re about to bite into a yummy campfire S’More. How’s that for a delicious product?
