With home life still very much a thing I welcome new music with open arms, especially when it involves one of my favorite artists-Kacey Musgraves. The fiery Texas native always delivers beautiful, storytelling videos to accompany her songs and her latest collaboration “Easy” with Troye Sivan is no exception.
The talented twosome play a couple of wild runaways who have found solace in each other as a part of the video’s plot, running wildly from a seedy motel to an adult toy shop to a dazzling karaoke drag show. Kacey herself goes on a journey, dyeing her dark locks to drugstore bleach blonde in a public restroom to giving a feisty lap dance in a Nashville dive bar. Basically, this character is what white trash-chic dreams are made of. For the beauty look Kacey’s main makeup artist the immensely talented Moani Lee played up the character’s spunk and carefree nature with a colorful beauty story. Electric violet eyes, luminous skin and a dewy mauve lip dominated the look, delivering the ultimate southern girl gone wild vibe that the character exudes.
