With Covid-safe restrictions in place the 93rd Annual Academy Awards went off without a hitch tonight. The red carpet wasn’t quite as crowded as usual, but plenty of celebrities brought their fashion and beauty A-games including one breathtaking Best Actress nominee, Carey Mulligan.
Carey graced the red carpet in a jaw-dropping Valentino Spring 2021 Couture piece (my favorite from the collection) that stole the show. Since she had on such a dazzling, dramatic dress makeup artist Georgie Eisdell kept the Promising Young Woman star’s makeup subtle and sophisticated. Using all Chanel skincare and beauty products Georgie gave Carey beautifully bronzed luminous skin, soft earth-toned eyes, rosy cheeks and a deep mauve lip. I appreciate how she allowed the British beauty’s sparkling golden gown to be the star of the look, while also accentuating her delicate facial features. Chanel beauty looks are always pretty and polished and this was certainly no exception.
