When you’re portraying the legendary Lucille Ball on film, you have to look like a million bucks at said movie’s premiere. Naturally exuding major movie star glamour is something Oscar winning actress Nicole Kidman does effortlessly.
Wearing a dazzling dusty grey Armani Privé ball gown, Nicole (as usual) made quite the fashion statement on the red carpet. As a warm nod to Lucille herself, Nicole’s makeup was reminiscent of the old Hollywood glamour that became a huge part of the iconic starlet’s legacy. Makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan played up Kidman’s piercing blue eyes with a hint of bronzy shimmer accompanied by a subtly smoked out effect. But, that wasn’t where the Lucy beauty similarities ended; Nicole also served up perfectly rosy pink cheeks, voluminous black lashes and a classic red lip. I feel like we don’t see a red lip on the Aussie stunner very often, but I can’t think of a better occasion to whip it out than honoring a silver screen icon.
