My favorite time of year has officially begun! Nothing warms my glamour-loving heart more than those first few months at the beginning of each year that are filled with star-studded awards shows almost every single weekend. The Golden Globes are always the kick-off and last night’s ceremony and red carpet did not disappoint.
There were several looks that left me swooning last night and the always stylish Kerry Washington was one of them. While there seemed to be mixed feelings on her opera-gloved, hot pink Balenciaga number, I personally loved it. We have seen pieces by the brand like this before of course, but never with the confidence and poise which Kerry exuded. To accompany her bold ensemble, makeup artist Carola Gonzalez gave the Scandal star rich, smoky eyes, warm caramel skin, fresh petal pink cheeks and a matte mauve-nude lip. I love how well balanced the beauty and fashion of this look is, and how it makes it all come together perfectly.
