The Nail Files: Love OPI XOXO Holiday 2017 Collection

Holiday collections aren’t exclusive to fashion and makeup, each year nail companies continue to deliver beautiful colors for the holiday season.

My personal favorite brand OPI is on the top of that list. Presenting popular collaborations with the likes of Mariah Carey (best collection EVER!), The Muppets, Hello Kitty, and Gwen Stefani-OPI has set quite a bar for themselves. This year the popular brand decided to skip a major theme or celebrity and went for a sincere ‘Xoxo’ collection title. Basically giving their fans what they consider their best holiday shades with love, hugs and kisses. When you have covered every color and effect I imagine it gets tricky coming up with something fresh and new to wow your audience with. While this particular collection is more on the classic side, there are a few shades that are out of the ordinary. My personal favorites are ‘Feel the Chemis-Tree’ a beautiful, deep metallic purple and ‘Coalmates’ a reflective charcoal. While I appreciate all the reds and shimmery whites and golds, I am seriously missing some glitter. OPI’s glitter formula is top-notch, and with it being the holidays I think this lot could have used a lot more sparkle. That aside, I find the new collection to be a well thought out, wearable effort. Perfect for Christmas and New Year’s, and really anytime that you feel like wearing them.
