Beauty Report: Maybelline x Gigi Hadid Jetsetter Palette

They’re one of the most iconic affordable beauty brands in the world and she is one of the catwalk’s most sought after models. and together they have teamed up for one beautiful palette. Maybelline and Gigi Hadid have joined forces to give fans a piece of the ‘girl on the go’  Jetsetter look.

The palette includes eyeshadow, concealer, blush, bronzer, highlighter, mascara and lip balm. While the majority of the shades are on the more neutral side, there are some pops of coraly red and jet black. The jetsetting life is all about making life as convenient and uncomplicated as possible and by the looks of it, this palette does just that. A gal like Gigi is constantly bopping from one city (sometimes one country) to another and that means packing only the essentials. With the product and shade variety in this palette you can easily create a warm toned eye look and nude lip or even a smoky eye and bold red pout. The packaging is a soft shade of pink with a chic, silver font and Ms Hadid’s signature. While this palette is by Maybelline it isn’t as affordable as their usual offerings. This little beauty will set you back a cool $29.99. I must admit I was a little taken aback by the cost, $30 is usually considered more on the higher end of beauty prices. But I am assuming they are justifying it by the the number of products you are getting in one compact, and hopefully the formula quality. You are also of course paying for a celebrity name. Luckily Gigi has hoards of fans who are going to love this. It reportedly sold out in the UK in under 90 minutes, which is pretty impressive for a drugstore brand release. I know back in my day if Cindy or Naomi had their own makeup product I would have been all over it. Who am I kidding? I still would!

This looks to be only the first item to be released in collaboration with Gigi. A full collection is expected to be revealed later this month. The Jetsetter palette was made available last week in the US for Ulta platinum members, but will available to everyone on October 22nd .
