Beauty Report: Huda Beauty Winter Solstice Collection + Obsession Mini Palettes

Photos: Huda Beauty and Trendmood

There is no stopping Huda Beauty. From lashes to lips to foundation to highlighters the beauty mogul is on a roll and is now tackling the holidays.

Huda Beauty has easily became one of my favorite brands over the last year. The quality and creativity are both on point, not to mention the speed at which she spins out new, exciting products. For winter, Huda is giving her glow loving fans a collection of highlighters and lip strobes (prices TBA) that are sure to deliver cold weather magic. The Solstice highlighting palette is a set of pastel color shifting formulas that promise to give wearers an ethereal glow. The matching mini lip strobe set is designed to give your pout a reflective shimmer that can be worn as a topper or mixed together for a shimmery custom shade. I’m not much of a pastels girl myself so it will come as no surprise that the mini eyeshadow palettes are my favorite from the holiday reveal. I am a big fan of Huda shadows and I love the idea of compacting mini looks into several different palettes that are on-the-go friendly. Each mini palette includes 9 creamy shades in a mixture of shimmers and mattes that can create a number of different looks.  The four ‘Obsession’ palette combinations include: Mauve (light to deep pink tones), Smoky (deep browns, greys, and black), Electric (vibrant, neon), and Warm Brown (gold-chocolate). The next best thing about these petite beauties is the price. Each mini palette retails for $27 which is totally reasonable from a luxury brand. The Solstice pieces will launch globally on Huda’s official site and Sephora on October 27th, while the palettes hit the web on November 1st on Cult Beauty  and November 2nd on Sephora.

I for one can’t wait to get my hands on a few of these items and start creating glamorous, wintery looks. Below you can see all revealed pieces and read further details from Huda on each one.

The Winter Solstice Highlighter Palette

This formula is divine and looks so beautiful swept across your cheeks for an ethereal glow, but the shades also look insane on the lids or even on your shoulders.

Frosted Kiss: Our signature melted strobe formula with shea butter has been refreshed for winter in an icy, iridescent pink. The creamy formula helps to smooth the skin and add a subtle glow, which makes the perfect canvas for layering powders on top.
Arctic Glow: Our multi-tonal opalescent shade with flecks of blue and lavender pearls looks divine swept across cheekbones for a flushed complexion.
Northern Lights: This holographic highlighter with duochrome tones of soft gold and bronze is the perfect pop of color when it catches the light.
Winter Rose: Dust your Cupid’s bow, cheekbones or lids with this rosy-pink powder highlighter that has a shot of silver to create an amazing metallic effect.

The Mini Lip Strobe Set

Who doesn’t love a mini set?! I literally can’t pick a favorite shade, which is why we had to do a mini collection, especially as some of these also look really gorgeous combined (Hypnotic and Bewitched mixed, is the bomb!). We matched-up each lip strobe with one of the highlighter shades, which I love and is something we’ve never done before.

Charmed: Reflective pearls with a coral-tone perfectly match our Frosted Kiss melted strobe.
Bewitched: An opalescent shade with warm blue and purple undertones.
Starcrossed: Duochrome tones in white gold and subtle bronze tones.
Hypnotic: A combo of cool pink and silver undertones that give a unique metallic effect.
