Get The Look: Elle Fanning’s Minty Retro Glamour

If there is one place to take a fashion and beauty risk it’s at the Instyle Awards. The annual event took place Monday night in L.A. bringing out a bevy of stylish stars and their treasured makeup artists and fashion stylists, but no one stood out more on the red carpet than fashionista princess Elle Fanning.
I always enjoy the youthful freshness and often daring looks that the lovely Elle brings to her appearances and this was no exception. Wearing a fresh off the Spring 2018 runway design by Versace, Elle immediately caught my eye. The Marilyn Monroe/Andy Warhol printed dress (and matching shoes!) were definitely a statement making look, and luckily Miss Fanning pulled it off as only she can. Elle’s hair and makeup team grabbed inspiration from the design and took her beauty look retro-glam. Looking like the love of child of Barbie and Brigitte Bardot, Elle’s choppy blunt bangs (courtesy of Jenda Alcorn), feline flicked eyes, and pink blushed cheeks were the beauty look of the evening. But for me it was her electric minty eyes that really stole the show. Celebrity makeup artist Erin Ayanian Monroe used L’oreal products to take the young brand ambassador to 60’s pinup perfection.
