Beauty Report: Chanel Le Libre Maximalisme Holiday 2018 Collection

Two words that immediately come to mind when thinking of Chanel Beauty’s Global Creative Makeup Artist and Color Designer Lucia Pica are classic and bold.
After seeing the brand’s 2018 holiday collection, there was no question that Lucia was behind the concepts of this stunning line. Filled with traditional holiday fare, there are sumptuous reds and glistening golds a plenty. While I love the wearable, yet festive color story here, my favorite detail has to be the lion heads embossed into the pressed products. Chanel usually goes for their signature Camellia flower, so this is a nice and unexpected change of pace. The lion symbol was a favorite of Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel.
The collection includes new premiere eyeshadows, Rogue lippies, a champagne illuminating powder and glossy nail lacquers. Chanel is also tempting the masses with a new special edition bottle of their classic No 5. perfume. The component comes in a merry shade of Christmas red and would be a beautiful addition to anyone’s vanity. If you’re a fan of the brand’s luxurious brushes, you ‘ll love the 6 piece set which includes a plush velvet storage bag in that same delicious shade of holiday red.
