August Favorites

Another month, another post about all the things I’ve been loving! August has a little something for every piece of a glamour girl’s stylish, on the go life.

One of my favorite items this month is the ‘Mikayla’ satchel by Sole Society. I was needing a stylish bag that was big enough to carry all of my necessities in, but small enough to stick under an airplane seat. You would be surprised how hard of a task that is. But when I saw this bag it immediately reminded me of the Givenchy ‘Antigona’ satchel which I have lusted over for years. But since I don’t have an extra two grand laying around to spend on a bag, this one fits the bill quite nicely. An unexpected find this month was at…wait for it…Hot Topic! Now I will admit I love Hot Topic for cool Disney finds, but I had no idea they had started carrying merchandise from RuPaul’s Drag Race. I have been obsessed with this show for many years now, so to see some of my favorite queens hanging on an accessible rack simply made my day. The best part? These sassy little tees are under $20! Since I am obsessed with “UNHhhh” on Youtube (if you haven’t watched…RUN and do so right now.) I obviously had to go for the shirt featuring my girl Trixie Mattel (sadly there was no Katya in sight.) Trixie is a little bit Barbie, a little bit Dolly Parton-basically my spirit animal. If you are a fan of the show make sure to check in store and online to see if your favorite queen is available. I was very into golden home finds this month, scoring two pieces I am cray in love with. If you are like me and have as many pairs of sunglasses as you do shoes then you’ll love the Emily & Merrit sunnies holder by Pottery Barn. The other item I couldn’t pass up (and is admittedly less practical) is the Parfum Coin Bank by ZGallerie. This little beauty is also under $20, but don’t let the price tag fool you. This bank is BIG and looks amazing styled with large coffee table books and a vase of fresh pink peonies. I also included the flats that I can’t stop wearing (hello comfort!), my favorite new lipstick, and a phone case that is Carrie Bradhsaw worthy.
