Golden Globes #TimesUp Black Out Wish List
For tomorrow night’s Golden Globe awards all of us who crave color on the red carpet will have to hold out until the next one. In support of the Times Up initiative, the ladies of Tinseltown will be showing support towards fellow women who are bringing forward sexual harassment complaints in the wake of all the recent and various entertainment scandals.
While black is my personal favorite color to wear, it’s not always the most exciting thing to see on the red carpet. With that being said, I love seeing these women standing together and making a powerful statement. Plus with sequins, feathers, tulle, and many other materials that can jazz up a garment I have no doubt we will still get plenty of fabulous fashion moments.
Over the years most of the looks that make it to awards season shows tend to either be non-presented,custom-made designs or vintage pieces brought out of the archives. Gucci, Saint Laurent, Calvin Klein, Tom Ford, Michael Kors, and Miu Miu are just a few of the brands that usually pop up with never seen before looks that pleasantly surprise us. Even with black being the color du jour this year, it was still a fun task to pull personal favorites and see if any of them actually make the cut.
Below I have chosen a few of the dark hued creations I would love to see floating down the carpet at tomorrow night’s ceremony. Keep in mind the Spring Couture 2018 collections have not yet debuted, so there’s a big chance we will see a few of them on the carpet before they even hit the runway.
