After being over-saturated in a world of unicorns, mermaids, and peaches Covergirl is tapping into what the makeup community really needs-more cats!
Let’s face it, a lot of us pet owners and makeup enthusiasts are crazy cat ladies both at home and at heart. Even though Katy has worked with Covergirl since 2016, this is by far the most creative and eye-catching collection they have produced. The quirky and colorful feline theme is sprinkled throughout all of the products, and the packaging alone will make you want to invest. The 12-shade lipgloss line has the most adorable kitty wand for application. I mean, who doesn’t want to swipe gloss on with a purrfect cat head applicator? Plus, if you want to take your lips to the next level, there are new Glam Gloss kits which include a matching glittery loose pigment. The solo glosses and the kits both retail for $8.99 each (bonus-they’re all on sale at Target.com!)
Then there’s the Katy Kat eyeshadow palettes. It’s hard nowadays to make an eyeshadow palette that really stands out. There’s a new one on the market what feels like every other day. But these little cuties are like nothing I have seen before. The 10 shade palettes come in both cool (‘Cool Kat’) and warm (‘Hot Kat’) tone options. ‘Cool Kat’ is filled with spring ready shades like mint green, rosy pink, and soft lavender. While ‘Hot Kat’ offers a more neutral bronzey vibe with golds, browns, and mauves. Each palette is topped off with an adorably chubby, smiling kitty cat shaped pan in the center. You can scoop these beauties up for a steal price of only $12.99.
The collection also introduces three new lash styles. “Fluffy Kat”, “Kat Whiskers”, and “GraphiKat”. All three look to be on the more dramatic side, but at totally different levels. Each set comes with it’s own tube of lash adhesive for $6.99 a pop.
If you’re looking for a couple of unique and affordable pieces for the new season, it doesn’t get much more a-meow-zing than this.
