Beauty Report: Stila Cosmetics Shade Mystére Collection

Chances are if you are a beauty lover who enjoys shimmer and shine you are well aware of Stila’s Magnificent Metals liquid eyeshadows. The glittery formula rocked the makeup world upon it’s release, and ever since the brand keeps taking their products to the next level.
Their newly introduced Shade Mystére collection is like nothing we have ever seen before. While there have been a fair shade of color changing lipsticks to hit the market, I don’t recall ever seeing an eyeshadow that does the same. The Mystére shadows look like liquid ombre in their component, but once on the lids they transform into a spectacular color-shifting finish. When applied the color changes from one mesmerizing effect to another. The brand states it’s “a unique combination of color-flip pigments, pearls, and shimmer particles” to maximize the high-impact, color-changing, sparkle effect. If these little beauties are anything like the Magnificent Metals, then I am all on board for giving them a try.
The new shadows come in 8 color-changing shades: ‘Hypnotic’ (burgundy with an olive and gold flip), ‘Spellbound’ (violet with a fuchsia and blue pearl flip), ‘Mystic’ (peacock blue with a teal and violet flip), ‘Charmed’ (a true pearl with red flip), ‘Enigmatic’ (aubergine with a violet pearl flip), ‘Spiritual’ (yellow with a gold and red pearl flip), ‘Mythical;’ ( lilac with a blue pearl flip), and ‘Psychic (periwinkle with a pink pearl flip.)
Stila also released a brand new Mystére face gloss. Featuring marbleized shades, this highlighting balm “combines to create a subtle, multi-dimensional, glossy” effect. Now I immediately wondered if this is going to work on oily skintones, and if it’s going to appear more greasy than glowy. But, Stila recommends applying it to the high points of the face and getting your blend on for the ultimate facial glow. It can also be used as a lip topper for an instant pop of sheen.
