Get The Look: Lupita Nyong’o’s Electric Blue Beauty At The 2019 Golden Globes

When it comes to red carpet makeup few consistently stand out out like Lupita Nyong’o. Half of that is due to her naturally stunning beauty, the rest is owed to her insanely talented makeup artist Nick Barose.
For many, many awards seasons, premieres, editorials and press events we have had the pleasure of seeing Nick have fun with switching up Lupita’s ever-changing looks. One of the many things I love when the two work together is their embracement of color. With Lupita’s gorgeous dark hued skin, colorful accents thoroughly ‘pop’ against her rich tones. For the 2019 Golden Globes, Nick took inspiration from Lupita’s custom-made Calvin Klein gown. The twinkling azure design was all about making a statement, so naturally she needed makeup that would equally stand out. Not only did Lupita’s eyes get lined with a bold blue liner, Nick took things to the next level by applying an intense pair of royal blue false lashes. Her skin was kept fresh and radiant, while her lips were an opulent shade of Crimson.
