Beauty Report: Anastasia Beverly Hills x Alyssa Edwards Eyeshadow Palette

Like so many I have spent a good portion of my life fascinated with the world of drag queens. Thanks to the success of Rupaul’s Drag Race, today many queens are considered mainstream celebrities thanks to their undeniable skills, show-stopping beauty and of course internet popularity. Few of those queens carry more pizzazz and personality (and mouth pops!) than the stunning Alyssa Edwards.

Way back on season 5 of Drag Race Alyssa quickly became a favorite with her Southern sass and larger than life style, but after being accused of having ‘back rolls’ (GASP!) the dancing queen went home way too soon. Then came a second chance at glory with Drag Race All-Stars where once again, our dazzling diva lost the precious crown. But has that stopped this powerhouse queen from succeeding? I think not.

After long speculation, today it was announced and revealed that one of my holy grail brands, Anastasia Beverly Hills has collabed with Ms.Edwards on an eyeshadow palette worthy of it’s own crown.  Filled with the vivid shades Alyssa is known for, this palette is definitely not for the faint of heart. From a violet shade called “Unicorn Tribe” to an electric canary called “Yellow Brick”, the color story is all about making an unforgettable statement.  She even has a shade called ‘Back Rolls”, which only makes me adore her even more. We love a queen who doesn’t take herself too seriously!

The Alyssa palette truly captures the essence of who she is and is sure to be a crowd pleaser.  It retails for $45 and will be available this weekend at DragCon L.A., May 29th on the ABH website and June 6th in stores such as Ulta and Macy’s.
