Beauty Report: KimChi Chic Beauty x Naomi Smalls ‘2 Queens In 1 Desert’ Collection

If you watched season 9 of Rupaul’s Drag Race (and if you haven’t what is wrong with you?) then you are very familiar with the glamorous duo that is Kim Chi and Naomi Smalls. If you aren’t familiar imagine an anime beauty nerd meets a leggy 90’s supermodel. While those descriptions might sound like an unlikely fit, these two were instant besties on their season, and have remained so through the years. Now KimChi Chic Beauty is giving us a colorful taste of their friendship.
Kim Chi is very well known for makeup and skills behind a brush so it only makes sense that she would have her very own cosmetics line. The products cater mostly to people who share her same aesthetic and love for the unusual and unexpected, with lots of girly charm. Watching Kim on her season it was instantly obvious that she was an artist above all. While Kim’s colorful fantasy-like take on makeup is vastly different than Naomi’s more ultra-glam vibe, they are both undeniably two of Drag Race’s most memorable and beloved cast members. For this collaboration they beautifully married both of their styles into 4 stunning products. A 24-pan eyeshadow palette featuring a mixture of mattes and shimmers, 2 sparkling cream eyeshadows, and a face palette including 2 blushes and 2 highlighters. I love how fun and adventurous these products feel, and how true they stay to both of their styles.
