Get The Look: Lady Gaga’s Timeless and Romantic Beauty From The 2021 Presidential Inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris

It was a brand new, hopeful day for Americans at the country’s capital as now President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris invited us into the 2021 Inauguration. Like any majorly celebrated occasion in the United States the event was kicked off with a breathtaking rendition of the National Anthem, performed by none other than the divine Lady Gaga.

When it comes to Lady Gaga looks you never really know what to expect, which is what makes watching her so much fun. I had a hunch that she would bring out her most elegant attire for the big day, but naturally with her own individual twist. When those double doors opened and the Grammy winner stepped out I will admit I audibly gasped. The custom-made Schiaparelli design (that quite literally took my breath away) consisted of a fitted navy cashmere jacket, a scarlet red silk faille ball skirt(with a dramatic train) and possibly the most talked about item of the entire ensemble, a gilded dove of peace brooch. Creative director Daniel Roseberry called the creation “a love letter” to the United States (he is a native now living and working in Paris.)

For her beauty look Gaga’s main makeup master Sarah Tanno-Stewart took the process for such a huge and historical event very seriously. Choosing the perfect shade of lipstick to compliment her amazing gown and lining just right to contrast the bright red hue of the lip were key. Tanno also made sure that the eye was balanced so the lips could take center stage. She kept Gaga’s big green eyes on the romantic side, applying wispy individual lashes and creating a soft smoky eye. The skin was beautifully bronzed with warm flushed cheeks and highlighted cheekbones. Since Lady Gaga now has her own vegan and cruelty-free makeup company, Haus Laboratories, many of the key products came from her very own brand (as they should.)
