Ten years ago the stunning Lupita Nyong’o won her first Oscar, and this year she returned to the Academy Awards red carpet paying homage to her unforgettable, dreamy baby blue Prada look from 2014.
Going blue once again this year, Lupita donned a spectacular custom Armani Privé gown her stylist actually had on a holding rack since 2022. What better time to finally give the dazzling dress life than at the Oscars? The second I laid eyes on Lupita last night I knew she would easily be in my top 3 favorite looks, and I was not wrong. When it came to her beauty look, her longtime makeup artist Nick Barose took inspiration from all that shining shimmer and went for sparkle galore from head to toe! Now y’all know, when it comes to sparkle and glitter-I can never get enough. I love how her lids are almost reminiscent of an extra starry sky, washed in soft gold and twinkling at every blink. Nick also accentuated Nyong’o’s dreamy complexion with glowing skin and deep mauve cheeks, then topped it all off with a soft raspberry lip which had a subtle frosted effect. There’s absolutely no denying that this is a duo made in heaven. Both Lupita and Nick never shy away from trying new makeup looks, and most of all always have the courage to go big or go home!
