This might have been the lovely Joey King’s first ever Cannes Film Festival, but you would have never known it by the grace, elegance and confidence that she brought to the event’s star-studded red carpet.
For her Cannes debut, Joey donned a breezy sky blue Cong Tri gown which featured a sheer, studded corset and cascading train that were both ultra glamorous and ethereal all at the same time. When it came to her makeup, it is no surprise that I was instantly smitten, as I have never met a shimmery eye look that I didn’t gravitate towards. One of my favorite celebrity makeup masters, Allan Avendaño, was the talent behind this look, and is the king of giving Joey some of her most memorable looks. On this occasion Alan took inspo from the beautiful, cool vibe that Joey’s dress was exuding by giving her a light, glowy beauty look. Sparkling icy eyes, bronzed skin paired with peachy-berry cheeks, and a classic pinky-nude lip with a hint of dazzling shimmer made this easily one of my favorite looks of the entire festival. It also further proves what a powerhouse duo Allan and Joey are when it comes to creating looks that leave a lasting, trendsetting impression.
