It’s not often we see Oscar winning actress Natalie Portman on the red carpet, but when we do she always makes a statement. At tonight’s Academy Awards she did just that, in more ways than one.

Always one to stand up for female rights, Natalie let her Dior fashion do the talking on the red carpet. Her custom black cape was embroidered with the names of female directors who were overlooked by the Academy this year. Names like Greta Gerwig (“Little Women”) and Lorene Scafaria (“Hustlers”) were two that especially struck a cord with me, as I loved both films. To compliment Natalie’s powerful ensemble makeup artist Lisa Storey gave the “Black Swan” actress an equally strong and striking beauty look. Fresh radiant skin, glowing coral cheeks, a shimmering cat-eye, and a warm blush shiny lip helped take her look to the next level.
