Get The Look: Kelly Clarkson’s Bronze Smoky Eyes and 90’s Nude Lips From The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards

It might not have been the kind of awards show we’re used to, but MTV’s annual Video Music Awards still made it work in the world of Covid-consciousness. The lovely and immensely talented Kelly Clarkson had the honor of awarding Lady Gaga with the Artist of The Year award, and served some major 90’s supermodel glam while doing so.

Kelly looked super chic and edgy in her belted little black dress by Alexander McQueen and thigh-high Balenciaga boots, but it was really her beauty look that I couldn’t take my eyes off of. Being a television host, reality tv talent judge, and the best thing to ever come out of ‘American Idol’ (in my opinion) we have seen plenty of different looks over the years, but tonight it was like being blessed with a brand new Kelly. From the fierce blown out hair (courtesy of Robert Ramos) to her saucy makeup, I was getting some serious 90’s supermodel vibes.

Makeup artist Gloria Elias-Foeille created this look by giving the lovely Texas native warm bronzy smoked out eyes, glowing skin, full brows and a brown-nude shiny lip. Kelly has always had a personality and style that is part southern sweetheart and another part pop-rocker, and I think this entire look perfectly captures both sides.
