Beauty Report: The Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette
If you keep an eye on the online beauty community at all chances are you’ve already heard of this palette and marked your calendars for it’s release date.
For months drama has circulated this collaboration and palette, from leaked photos to pushed back dates. But honestly who cares about all that? I’m personally here for the makeup. Morphe tends to get dragged through the mud quite often online, but as a part-time makeup artist myself I have nothing but good things to say about the brand’s products. Their brushes are great, their shadows are phenomenal-and best of all it’s all affordable. Morphe made the wise decision years ago to partner up with popular youtubers, and to say that union has been a success would be a major understatement. I remember going to the Morphe store myself and scooping up the first Jaclyn Hill’s Favorites palette, and I used it more times than I can count. The new palette is right up my alley, as it will be lots of other beauty junkies. Loaded with gorgeous warm mattes, sparkling neutrals, and a splash or two of vibrant greens and blues. The 35 shades are all brand new and offer a different formula than her first palette with the brand. If the stunning swatches are anything to go by, these shadows look to be buttery smooth and loaded in intense pigmentation. The palette price is more than reasonable at $38 and will hit the Morphe website on June 21st (time TBA). This is of course expected to be a sell-out item, so make sure you have a game plan when purchasing.
