Beauty Report: Jeffree Star Cosmetics Blood Sugar Palette + Lovesick Collection

When it comes to upping the beauty game no one takes on the challenge quite like makeup mogul Jeffree Star. Mr.Star is always taking his cosmetics line to the next level through unique packaging, inventive products, and his delightful use of color.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day Jeffree is giving makeup lovers several new items that are the perfect ‘be mine’ gifts. Lip scrubs, a red holographic makeup bag, star shaped hand mirrors, brand new lip products, and the item I most excited about-the Blood Sugar eyeshadow palette.
Themed in delicious shades of pinks, purples, and reds Blood Sugar will naturally be a go-to for Valentine’s Day, but also for any day you want to have some vobrant fun with your look. While I am definitely feeling the color scheme, my favorite part of the palette is it’s unique packaging. Star says he was inspired by vintage medical bags, but being the fashion loving gal that I am, it immediately reminded me of a beautiful Edie Parker clutch. The shade names in true JSC form are very fun and on theme with titles like ‘Cavity’, ‘Sugarcane’, and ‘Root Canal’. The formulas come in a variety of finishes: metallic, matte, and a new hybrid pressed pigment. As always the entire palette is vegan/cruelty free. Blood Sugar contains 18 very generous pans which retail for $52.
Accompanying the sweet new palette is a variety of Valentine’s inspired items. 2 new JSC hand mirrors will make their debut in red and plum (if you’re a fan of the brand think of the shades ‘Anna Nicole’ and ‘Unicorn Blood’.) Also joining the collection are 4 new velour liquid lipsticks, 3 new lip ammunitions, 3 new lip scrubs, a mini red and pink lip bundle box and a new holo red makeup bag (I’m kinda in love with this one.)
