Beauty Report: Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette
Last year Anastasia Beverly Hills released the wildly popular Modern Renaissance eye shadow palette, now the brand is introducing it’s sister- Subculture.
While the Renaissance palette is filled with warm toned reds, soft champagnes, and sumptuous browns the Subculture palette looks more like a distant cousin than a sister. The new palette takes on an entirely different, and brand new color story that daring makeup lovers are bound to love. While blues, greens, and even yellow based shades are standouts, I am happy to see an ABH staple like ‘Fudge’ included as you can never go wrong with using it to add depth to any look. Even though the diverse palette releases in only a few days, it does lean more towards the fall side in color scheme. Norvina and company are no fools, and know being the first out the gate with new seasonal looks is an excellent business move. The reaction to the palette has already been tremendous and has ABH devotees marking their calendars. The brand’s shadows have always been my favorite, they are unbeatable on every level for me. I can’t say this palette in particular is exactly in my color wheelhouse (I tend to be a warm tone/neutrals kinda girl) but there is no denying it is innovative, and is sure to be yet another sellout and fan favorite for the company.
The palette will be available on July 25th on the official Anastasia website. On August 1st you can purchase it online at Macys, Ulta, Sephora, and Dillards (no word on Nordstrom just yet.) Subculture will hit stores on August 15th. A price has yet to be announced but I am guessing it will be similar to it’s Renaissance sister and be in the $42 range.
