Outfit Inspiration: Park Avenue Princess
My latest outfit inspiration is all about embracing your inner Park Avenue Princess. This look was inspired than none other than everyone’s favorite uptown girl, Charlotte York (where are my Sex and The City fans at?) A prim collar and cuffs, ladylike peplum, and classic black accessories are all pieces of a starter kit to regal realness.
This outfit is all about making a statement, yet keeping things ultra classy and high-end. The star of the ensemble is Gucci’s metallic-gold and black leopard-jacquard dress, which is Italian extravagance at its finest. The ladylike silhouette is embroidered with red and green beaded-florals – and for a dramatically on-brand finish, the back is host to a dazzling crystal and sequin-embellished tiger head. For footwear, Christian Louboutin’s black patent leather ‘So Kate’ pumps feature a pointed toe and signature red leather sole. If there is one classic bag every posh girl dreams of having in her walk-in it’s a Chanel. This one in particular is a 90’s vintage piece, which goes with everything-making it a wardrobe staple. Feline pearl-effect embellished earrings (also by Gucci) are just the right amount of jewelry, as we never want to over accessorize. The tiger is a recurring motif in Gucci’s recent collections, and these earrings are an easy way to bring Alessandro Michele’s love of natural forms to your look. With a faux-pearl set into a crystal-embellished dome that hangs from an antiqued gold-tone metal tiger-head stud, these earrings are bold enough to be noticed, but subtle enough for everyday wear. For makeup, nothing will have you purring like a pair of beautiful, full lashes. To make your eyes pop Tarte’s “Sweetheart’ falsies are cruelty free and easy to apply. Add a coat of Loreal’s Voluminous Million Lashes mascara for a thick and flirty finish. Whether you’re brunching on the Upper East Side, or shopping at Bergdorf’s, in this outfit there will be no question about who reigns supreme.
