New Fragrance Campaign: Kristen Stewart For Chanel ‘Gabrielle’
She’s been the face of makeup, eyewear, handbags and now Chanel has crowned award winning actress (and Karl Lagerfeld muse) Kristen Stewart as the face of their newest fragrance ‘Gabrielle’.
This is the brand’s first new scent since 2002’s ‘Chance’ which has become a favorite in the beauty world. While many of Chanel’s scents fall on the heavy side, ‘Gabrielle’ is a softer, more delicate approach. Created with jasmine, ylang-ylang, tuberose and orange blossom, the new fragrance is targeted towards Chanel’s younger, growing audience. In the ad Kristen looks both fresh faced and determined, which is essentially what the essence of Chanel beauty is all about. ‘Gabrielle’ is now available at select Chanel boutiques as well as online, and will arrive globally later this year.
“There’s nothing aggressive about this perfume. It’s quiet, and that’s its strength. It doesn’t try too hard. Men and women are equal, but we’re not the same. Our strengths are different…. It’s nice that the fragrance’s unsubmissive nature is also purely girlie and that I’m not wearing a suit in the campaign.” – Kristen shared with Canadian Magazine FASHION
