Beauty Report: Mac Lunar Collection

Mac Cosmetics is breathing a little springtime into our cold and dreary January. The Lunar collection celebrates the lunar new year with a selection of ultra feminine products, all laced with shades of pretty pinks and playful peaches.
The romantic ombré packaging immediately caught my eye, as I imagine it will many others. This alone will up the popularity of the collection, because on the rare occasion Mac strays from their classic all black look, makeup devotees tend to get very excited (myself included.) The collection is on the smaller side, which I think is a smart move. You don’t want to over-saturate with huge collection after huge collection. There are 5 lipsticks of various finishes, a beautiful blush duo, and a x 9 eyeshadow palette filled withe soft, girly shades. The eyeshadows I must say put me in mind of the Too Faced Just Peachy Matte palette, but with more finish options.  I don’t really need anything from this line, but that limited edition packaging is seriously calling my name. Which means I am sure to end up with at least a lipstick come launch day, which happens to be January 18th.
